The basics of Caribbean poker go like this: The game is run by one dealer and
uses a standard single card deck. You will see on the Caribbean poker table
an area marked ANTE, and an area marked BET. All players make the obligatory
Ante bet in the ANTE area in front of them, and the dealer deals sets of five
cards to the players and to themselves, face down. They then reveal one card
of the dealers set. At this point you evaluate your own hand and decide whether
to stay in the game and up your bet, or to fold. The bet wager will be exactly
twice the Ante wager. The dealer will reveal their cards. For the dealer to
continue, their hand must have an Ace and King, or be a poker hand that outranks
an Ace King hand. It is important to note, if a dealers hand fails to qualify,
the player wins on their Ante, but their bet is considered a push.
